One on Wednesday!

Yes, that's right. I'm totally going to steal the original idea of ten on Tuesday and reformat it to fit my own blogging style. I absolutely, unequivocally will not be able to keep up with ten items every Tuesday. I do think that I MAY be able to do 1 every Wednesday. We'll see though, don't hold you're breath. Not like anyone really reads this stuff anyway!

Since it's been a while since my last post, I'll save the One on Wednesday for next week and give a quick update. Denny came home from his trip to KC with Alex completely in tact, and I was super glad to have both of my boys back. It was however, a really nice break. I am also super proud of Denny for being that brave. Not many men would have dared to do what he did, but that is why I love him. I'm also glad that the rest of Denny's (not including immediate) family got to meet Alex for the first time. Too bad Denny took absolutely NO pictures.
The insurance company of the lady that hit Denny finally (after a month) decided that they were liable for the wreck and decided that the Honda was a total loss. However, thanks to Patrick (our wonderful attorney, and Colleen's hubby) they didn't try to low ball us on the amount they offered for the car. The frustrating part is that by the time they got around to it determining that they were liable for the damage, my insurance coverage for a rental car ran out and we were forced to have to find a new car extremely fast. In only one day as a matter of fact. I don't know how, but we managed to do it (with no babysitter) and hopefully this new vehicle will be as good to us as the Honda was. It's a 2007 Mitsubishi Galant and it comes complete with a brand new car payment. Yippee!

I finally started Nursing School last week and so far it's been great. I'm learning a TON of stuff and am enjoying myself. I do miss Alex a bunch during the day, but his babysitter is great and she is very good with him. She's also fluent in Spanish and I've asked her to use as much Spanish around him as she can. I want him to be exposed to it as much as possible, especially since we live in AZ. Hopefully this will lay the foundation for him to speak two languages fluently.

That's about it for now, but here's a few pics and a video to finish up. Alex is starting to try to feed himself, so here's the before and after.

He's also REALLY in to paper at the moment. The boy can't sit still, but if I tear out a peice of paper from a magazine he'll be entertained for at least five minutes. I have a feeling I'm in for a ton of trouble once he's mobile.....

Congratulations on the new car! You have one adorable little boy! I can't get enough of those cheeks. I hope to meet him in person one day because I just want to jump through the computer and love on him!

Aww, thanks Colleen. I would love to get together sometime too. I would like to witness Jackson's funny faces in person!

And yes Aunt Karissa! Those are bandaids on his legs. PC and his third Hep B. I wouldn't have chosed to do Hep B, but I've been to China and because of that we chose to go ahead and give it to him. Not to worry...

Of course people read this, silly face! So we're in the market for a new car as well... Long story but in a nutshell, someone hit my car a couple days ago (not bad) but they're considering it totalled since it'd be too expensive to fix. His insurance is only going to pay out 80% which so isn't cool but better than nothing, I guess. This stuff is so stressful, isn't it!?! On the bright side, Alex is getting so big and more and more handsome all the time. What a cutie!
