Playing Catch-up

Well, I failed at my attempt to produce at least one very short blog per week. On the other hand, I have done very well at school the last two weeks. I can't believe I'm almost half way through block 1. It's going by so fast.
Alex turned 8 months old right after Easter. He's totally mobile, and trying to stand up on his own. He will even try it without having something to hold on to. Because of this, he's had numerous falls directly on his face but he doesn't usually cry unless he's super tired. What a determined little boy we have on our hands. He's also starting to talk baby jibberish. Denny swears he's saying Dada, but until he says Dada while looking at Denny I refuse to believe it. Mama should come first, right? I gave birth to him.
Denny has been working harder than ever lately, and we hardly see each other. It can be really hard sometimes and I hate retail more and more everyday. I really hope that his employer will reward him for his hard work sometime soon. He really deserves it, but I doubt it will ever happen.

Last but not least, we really need prayers right now. It seems as though we've had an extremely long string of bad luck. The Durango wouldn't start last night as Denny was coming home from his 16 hour day. I think it's the alternator and it's not going to be cheap to fix. Money is extremely tight with me not working and an expensive car repair isn't going to help much. I'm trying to remember that this situation won't last forever and we'll be better off once I graduate, but it's extremely hard. I'm REALLY looking forward to the time that I won't have to buy formula for Alex anymore. 3 1/2 months to go.....

Formula is way too expensive! Aren't you on WIC? If not, you should be. It helps out so much. I keep telling myself it will be better when Brandon graduates as well! Only 19 months to go! Man, that sounds like forever.
